Unwind and Relax

Today is a great day for Ernest. It is his off day at work and he plans to spend it relaxing and unwinding at home.

When he woke up this morning, he made himself a nice, warm breakfast of hot buttered toast, eggs and bacon with a mug of freshly brewed coffee. He ate leisurely, something he hasn’t done in ages. Ernest was contented and relaxed that he cleaned out his whole kitchen and wiped the scum from his oven.

Ernest spent the rest of his morning listening to jazz using his portable mp3 player. He just bought himself a new Zune mp3 accessory and it was working just great. He was able to read and finish a book he had started on almost three months ago.

By lunchtime, Ernest was fast asleep in the living room couch. He had not slept this contentedly since he started working in his current workplace. Sometimes his work requires long hour just enough for him to sleep for three hours and eat three short meals a day. That afternoon Ernest went out to his backyard and did some long overdue gardening work. His flowers were mostly dead and the garden was covered in weeds. It doesn’t matter to Ernest as long as he was having a great time.
